Affiliate marketing – The Best Approach for Direct Network Marketing

Why are so many network marketers not taking advantage of the internet to expand their business and grow multiple streams of income? The answer to that question probably can be found in the way so many people got into direct network marketing in the first place. It was a very traditional approach based on an offline marketing approach that work for a long time.

Today many things have changed in the direct network marketing business. Anyone who has been in the business for awhile knows how much it has changed. It’s harder to find good qualified leads. There is more competition for leads. New members don’t stick with one opportunity for very long before they are off trying the next big opportunity that comes along. So, you have to find more new prospects to replace the turnover in addition to trying to grow your downline.

While it may seem sometimes like mission impossible, there is away to get ahead of the game. The solution lies in moving to a business model that combines traditional affiliate marketing with direct network marketing. It means building a business with multiple streams of income that will result in that passive residual income all network marketers are trying to achieve.

Here’s how it should work. Build a web presence that allows you to build a list of subscribers independent of any direct network marketing opportunity. Provide value to your list by providing education or training in something they are looking for – i.e. starting and building an online home business.

You now have a valuable asset that most in direct network marketing will never have. You have a list that you have developed a relationship with. This list is going to be the basis for developing multiple streams of income. While you will certainly promote your primary business to your list, not everyone will join and you don’t care. They can and will earn you money over the lifetime of your relationship.

You can also recommend to them as an affiliate, products that would help them build whatever their business might be. There are many very good internet marketing products that you can sell as an affiliate and receive a commission. If done properly it will help to build trust and confidence with your list. Now you have multiple streams of income even when they all don’t join your primary business.

I can’t stress enough the importance of building a list outside of your direct network marketing business. Network marketing businesses come and go. You may decide to move to another opportunity. But you will always have your list. With the strong relationship you have built with them they might move right along with you to your new opportunity.
