Next up is an especially humorous film, “Dodgeball, A True Underdog Story”. Very funny but rather silly film about Peter, the owner of Average Joe’s gym and how he must save the gymnasium from being taken over by the Globo Gym Franchise.

Featuring Vince Vaughn as Peter, the proprietor of Average Joe’s gym and Ben Stiller as White Goodman, the president and founder of the gym franchise, Globo Gym. Look out for the unpredicted cameo appearance by Lance Armstrong. Can a collection of misfits make a dream come true? Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, from the year 2004.

The third recommendation is a hilarious movie that is based upon an even funnier television show from the 1960′s. “The Beverly Hillbillies” is adapted from the comical TV show of the same name. The Clampetts move to Beverly Hills when they become millionaires after finding oil on their Arkansas property.

The cast of the movie is very good with Jim Varney as Jed Clampett, Cloris Leachman as Granny. Lily Tomlin suitably plays the role of Miss Jane Hathaway. Erika Eleniak as Elly Mae Clampett and Diedrich Bader as Jethro Bodine. A humorous adaptation but still incomparable to the hilarious TV show that many of us grew up with.
