Multiple Personality Disorder has been used by TV shows and by movie directors to put fear into their audience, it is more commonly called “split personality”. This happens when one person has two or more personalities. They hear voices inside their heads, have nightmares, and may possibly have the desire to cut or hurt themselves. People that suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder need treatmeant and advice form a professional.
Females are more commonly apt to have Multiple Personality Disorder due to them having experienced childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse and long term exposure to the nature of MPD has to endure. As young children who were constantly abused, they learned to protect their regular state of being by creating and using a different personality. The new personalities that have been made up by the person suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder are meant to hide hurt and shame the has occupied their own conscious.
